Expressions of the Natural World

20th – 26th May 2015

Rita Thorn

  • Rita Thorn trained in Art at Cardiff University. She is a mixed media artist who currently pursues her own art practice and offers classes and workshops for adults and children from her studio in Charlton, near Pershore.
  • Rita’s more recent work explores the properties of acrylic inks and water colour with other media sometimes including rich jewel like embellishment. The use of colour features strongly in her pieces as does the quality of surface texture. By combining these elements she attempts to represent features of the natural world in a contemporary style and also to portray more abstract ideas.
  • Rita holds exhibitions in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. Her studio is available for those wishing to visit, just ring to arrange a time and date.
  • For further information about Rita, her work and future classes and exhibitions please visit her website. www.ritathorn.co.uk
