Event Details

We are delighted to be presenting Cheltenham Camera Club’s 2023 Exhibition in the Montpellier Gardens Gallery from 1st – 7th February. The club is the sixth oldest photographic club in the UK, having been established 158 years ago in the pioneering days of photography. It has thrived throughout the intervening years and today, CCC has over a hundred members and organises not only this exhibition, but also the internationally acclaimed ‘Cheltenham International Salon of Photography’ which annually receives over 8000 images from around the world. The club organises a programme of talks by nationally known photographers, monthly competitions, club outings and a friendly environment supporting the development of members’ photography.

Over the years, photography has ‘developed’, taking on new ideas and technology, to the amazing possibilities that the present digital revolution has given us all. Nowadays, the photographer can capture moments of time that our forebears could only dream of. We can even build an image to create our own reality anything is possible. Indeed, images can challenge, inspire and evoke a relationship with the viewer. We very much hope, as you visit this exhibition, that you will gain as much enjoyment from looking at our images as we have gained from capturing them.

If you are interested in Photography, then why not join CCC? We meet weekly on Thursday evenings, 7.45pm, September to May, at Holy Apostles Church Hall, London Road, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, GL52 6HW.
