TenPaint is a group of Gloucestershire-based artists brought together by the renowned Rob Collins, RCA, who tutored them for many years, helping them develop their painterly skills and styles. Sadly, Rob passed away in September 2024. The group has continued working together, keeping his spirit alive, and is dedicating this exhibition to their good friend Rob and his patient and dedicated tutorship.

 

The group includes artists below

Abigail Waddell is a contemporary landscape artist painting mainly in oils, focusing on light in the sky and how it falls on land and sea.

 

Andrew Dawes is a representational artist working in acrylics who is inspired by the interaction of colour, shape and particularly light, to capture the sense of the subject.

 

Ann Sohn-Rethel is a potter who also paints. She paints landscape, still life…whatever captures her imagination – enjoying textures, colour and atmosphere.

 

Eleanor Taylor finds joy in the world around her and uses her skills to interpret the images that move her.

 

Louise Hawkins paints in oils from life. She is interested in conveying the atmosphere of a subject or motif through the observation of light, form and colour.

 

Michael Bailey is a painter from life using oils, with landscape and still life as his subjects.

 

Michael Paul has a particular interest in portraying people in their everyday lives, producing narrative paintings inn oils, watercolour and ink.

 

Pete Wintle is a portrait and landscape artist based in Gloucestershire. He enjoys working in pencil, pen and charcoal but most especially oils in a loose and expressive manner.

 

Philippe Rousseliere likes to paint in oil colours, favouring landscapes and street scenes which showcase the interplay of light and shade.

 

Sarah Farwell loves to create sensitive images with watercolour or pastel, conveying her fascination with light as it enters a room or enriches a scene.

 

Wendy Rochefort is an experimental abstract painter who uses bold acrylic colour and mixed media to explore ideas and experiences.
