A collaboration of three artists inspired by land and sea and concerned for the protection of the natural world.
BETH CAVE
“Beth Cave’s delicately vibrant paintings of calm seas transport the viewer to their own pastoral beach-side memories. Beth’s work has a hazy, dream-like quality to it, associated with feelings of joy and possibility.” Kate Reeve-Edwards
My enjoyment of the sea informs my perspective and use of colour. I fragment shape and colour, spraying and glazing to create transparent layers of organic movement. My marks are made intuitively in response to the light and moods of the South Devon coast I know intimately. In the Caribbean I use rapid bold marks to create colourful pieces of high contrast. The result is deeply atmospheric paintings with a powerful sense of place.

SARAH BOND
“Sarah Bond’s vibrant paintings and prints convey the beauty and endeavour of renewable energy. Sarah homes in on colour contrasts and dynamic shapes. She turns up the volume: colours are more vibrant, the contrasts starker, the lines sharper, to create pieces charged with energy and hope.” Kate Reeve-Edwards
My work explores the four classical elements and their links to renewable technology: air for wind power, fire and earth for geothermal, and water for hydropower. Inspiration comes from landscapes which encompass these elements: the wind farms of the UK, the volcanic regions of Tenerife, and the Alpine mountains.

MICHELLE OWEN
“Michelle Owen’s subtly luminescent paintings are like bottomless pools. The deep layering of oils and glazes create glistening veiled landscapes which reveal themselves over time.” Kate Reeve-Edwards
My work is an attempt to create stillness, to pause and reflect. I layer oil paint on linen and create large atmospheric pieces which are an expression and meditation on landscape. These are not literal depictions, more an emotional response to place.
