Camilla MacDonald Art & Duncan R Powell Photography: A debut collection

22nd – 28th March 2017

  • Camilla MacDonald – I am an artist specialising in oil and acrylic paintings on canvas.  I also paint house portraits by commission. I have been painting, drawing and scribbling for as long as I can remember and I’ve always been passionate about art.  I have studied art and History of Art and am a qualified art teacher, so it has always been a big part of my life.  These days I am a busy mum, married to Simon and have children Henry 7, Billy, 5 and Beatrice, 2.  I can usually be found with a paintbrush in my hand or making something for our home. I love to paint whether a streetscape, a view, an interesting building or a sketch of my children there are so many things to capture in detail.

  • Duncan R Powell – I’m a dentist working in the centre of Cheltenham. I’ve lived here for 15 years. I’m married to Lorna and have two daughters: Evie aged 6 and Gaby aged 4.  I’ve always been interested in photography but became obsessed with it about 5 years ago. Most of my photos used to be taken with my phone, but I use a compact system camera most of the time now. But the phone often gets used as it’s always in my pocket.  I like taking landscapes most, but like to try all genres.
