25th – 31st Oct – Janet James

Revealing Landscapes

25th – 31st October 2017

Sunlight on lakes, reflections, the cool greys of Norwegian Fjords and the countryside that surrounds me are my inspiration.

The paintings attempt to convey peace and tranquility and varying moods of a transient landscape. Experimentation with paint and techniques, fragmentation and blurring of images are an integral part of my practise.

Janet will be exhibiting this October at the Garden’s Gallery in Montpellier Gardens, Cheltenham. As well as Janet’s paintings there will also be prints and cards for sale – perfect for those organised enough to be thinking of christmas.

Janet will also be painting in the gallery all week so drop by if you’d like an insight into her processes and techniques.
