“Towards Light” – An exhibition of paintings by Frances Clark-Stone

An opportunity to see the work of Stroud based artist Frances Clark-Stone.  Working in oil and pastel, Frances creates narrative and often dream like paintings based on personal experiences, memories and love of particular places.  She has been exhibiting and selling regularly since 2008 in the Stroud district, Cirencester and Bristol.  The Gardens Gallery is pleased to host her first solo Cheltenham based show. 

Known by her followers and collectors for atmospheric, night time scenes, her new collection shows a move toward a lighter palette, reflected in the title of this show.  Her work is often about finding peace and serenity in the everyday – in nature and within ourselves. Collectors and followers talk about finding an emotional connection with the work.

Expect variety, colour and originality as well as high quality materials and framing.  The artist will be in the gallery on the Wednesday opening afternoon, Saturday and Sunday, and parts of the other days.  If you wish to meet her when you visit,  please contact Frances directly via email, website or instagram page.
