Watch This Space - Outside In

From representational townscapes to expressive landscapes and abstract, organic 3D forms, art navigates that outside-in continuity between what is observed, what is felt, and what is externalised through the art made in response to our outdoor spaces.

For the artist, depending on the day and the variables like light, atmosphere, and weather, what is interesting is that external-internal scene is in a constant state of flux.

This exhibition of work created in response to external spaces brings the outdoors in. It will evolve over the week, mixing work created in the moment with work created on reflection. From Sunday onwards, it will incorporate a collection of work created in the moment, en plein air, in direct response to the space outside of this gallery, as we showcase some of the best work from the Watch This Space en plein air art competition.
