Clare has created things all her life – starting with things she could make; design; play – but it wasn’t until 1997 that she first actually picked up a paint brush! From 2020 onwards she has seriously played with colour through yarns; fabric designs and digital art and in 2021 started to focus on painting with acrylics, loving the clarity of colour and the immediacy of the resulting work. (It could be that she is a bit impatient!).

Clare helps run the Stroud Artists Cooperative and has exhibited with them since 2021. In 2023 she went to art college. In 2024 she had her first solo exhibition “ebullience” feedback and comments from exhibition visitors would suggest it was aptly named. She is continuing the theme!

Clare is currently pondering “What next” …life seems to be a roller-coaster of new things…
