‘Transitions’ is a collection of abstracts, atmospheric landscapes, and seascapes with a new series of the theme of the ‘Nest’.

Her paintings represent ancient, powerful and natural forces that we’ve largely lost touch with. Our phrenetic, highly technological 21^st century lifestyles detach us from nature and our primal connection with it.

Tracy favours cold-wax medium with mixed media. She has also recently been working with encaustic wax (hot wax) and collage materials to create a body of work on the theme of the Nest. These depict both the natural breeding habitat of birds, but are also symbolic of home, childhood, nurture, vulnerability and safety.
