The gallery has proved a great community
success since it opened its doors on 9 June 2007. There were 20
weekly or fortnightly exhibitions by local artists in the 7 months of 2007
and the gallery is pretty well fully booked for the rest of 2008. Bookings
are now being taken for 2009. See the Exhibition Diary for information on
the forthcoming programme.
NEW FEATURE FOR 2009
One new feature is that the gallery is being made
available for hire on a daily basis (£40/day), during January and February
2009, for art workshops or art-related talks/lectures. Chairs and
tables will be available. Please contact the Bookings Secretary if
interested in hiring the gallery for any of these purposes.
CAROLINE DEPARTS
We are indebted to the work of Caroline Davies who has
played a major role behind the scenes in helping to set up, and equip, the
gallery and ensure its smooth running on a daily basis. Caroline is
standing down from the organisation to spend a sabbatical abroad and we
send her our thanks and good wishes for an enjoyable break.
