Mhairi Treharne

Exhibition: Paintings by Mhairi Treharne

 15th – 21st March 2017

  • Mhairi Treharne was raised by British parents in hometown of Minden, Ontario, Canada. Educated in Fashion Design, and having worked in the garment trade in Canada, the US and UK – painting has continually been a source of strength. Mhairi has positions of permanent public display in Toronto, and has exhibited in galleries in Canada and UK.
  • After moving to Cheltenham 3 years ago, the region has been a great source of inspiration. Mhairi has grown as an artist inspired by the character, history and natural beauty of the region.
  • The exhibition has a wide range of subject matter, but each image was captured due to the same impulse – an attempt to capture a moment in life when an experience scene or idea is truly beautiful or simply important. The feeling of being ‘struck’ by an experience is one which we all share, and unites a diverse range of images in this exhibition.
  • This solo exhibition carries a wide range of subject matter captured in oil paint, or separately in watercolour.
