My work can often begin with no outline at all or sometimes a few rough                    outlines of the composition. I may add collage as I am going along, or start with inks and rollers to keep it loose., then add a few lines and blocks of structure, working from the background out to the final details. At the end I am only putting in a line, a reflection, a shadow or a little detail. I work in ink, gouache, acrylic, oils, tempera, collage or anything which I feel is appropriate for the work. Very rarely do I use brushes, experimenting is very exciting  and can give unexpected results.

I exhibit at Art in the Park in Cheltenham, Cheltenham Art Club Exhibitions, personal exhibitions and other events

My work is on Facebook and Painters on line Gallery

I am a Cheltenham Artist painting across various mediums with a particular love for soft pastel and oils. I find inspiration for subjects everywhere which tends to lead to an eclectic body of work.

I have had success with local exhibitions and competition.

I am very much looking forward to being part of our forthcoming exhibition at the Gardens Gallery.

I have had a lifelong love of wood which has led to a passion for wood turning.

My creative process is to take a piece of wood and find the form within. I Particularly like working with local hardwoods such as oak, Beech and Ash.
